Nero Collection
The items in the Nero collection are crafted from sustainable teak wood, indigenous to regions like India, Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. Due to extensive logging, natural forests of teak only remain in Myanmar. Teak was introduced to Indonesia in the 16th century, leading to the establishment of large plantations during the Dutch colonial period. Today, the Indonesian government manages these plantations, ensuring a sustainable supply of this valuable wood.

Practically all teak wood used in Indonesian furniture production comes from these managed plantations, and since 2016, the government has regulated timber trade to trace all exported wood back to its source, complying with the FLEGT trade agreement with the EU to guarantee the legality of imported wood. This comprehensive approach makes teak production in Indonesia both economically and environmentally sustainable.
